What is Torah?
What is Torah?
Chances are, if you've made it this far you already know.. but if you do not:
What is "Torah"?
Strong's # 8451: "Torah" (pronounced "tore-ah") is typically translated from Hebrew as "Law" in the Bible. Expanded it is defined as "law", "instruction", and/or "direction".
Generally, this "instruction" is accepted as the first five books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. The "law" or "instructions" from Yahweh dictated to Moses.
It is a rabbinical claim that there are 613 Commandments in Torah.
Fact: In modern Christianity, it is usually taught that Yeshua (or Jesus) kept all of the law. This is not factual. The Torah does not pertain to all people as a whole. Some of the laws pertain to the Levitical priesthood, some for just women, some for farmers, some just for kings, and so on. It is impossible for one person to keep ALL of the Torah.
